This Mushroom Ravioli in a Creamy Marsala Wine Sauce is a luxurious yet simple dish that's sure to impress. Ingredients 

  1. 2 tablespoons olive oil 

  2. 6 cups sliced fresh mushrooms 

  3. ¼ cup diced onion 

  4. 1¼ cup Marsala wine 

  5. 2 cloves minced garlic 

  6. Salt and ground black pepper to taste 

  7. 2 2/3 cups heavy cream 

  8. 2 (16 ounce) packages mushroom ravioli 

  9. 2 tablespoons freshly chopped Italian parsley, or to taste 



Directions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and onions, and sauté until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes. 

  2. 2. Add Marsala wine and garlic to the skillet. Bring to a boil, and let it cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. 

  3. 3. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens and is heated through, about 5 minutes. 

  4. 4. Meanwhile, bring about 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Add ravioli to the boiling water and cook according to package directions (typically 6 to 8 minutes or until ravioli floats). Drain. 

  5. 5. Pour the creamy Marsala wine sauce over the hot ravioli. Top with freshly chopped parsley and serve. 

Suggestions 

  1. This dish is perfect with a light side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. 

  2. Feel free to swap in different ravioli flavors, like spinach or cheese, for variety. 

  3. To add a little more depth to the sauce, try adding a splash of vegetable broth along with the wine. 

  4. For extra texture, top with crispy breadcrumbs or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
